Hi and welcome to my blog. Here is a little about me.
I am a writer and blogger with a diploma in journalism. I am also a retired psycho-analytical psychotherapist. I specialise in writing about mental health, personal development, medical and women’s issues. I also take a keen interest in politics and feminism.
I was born in Middlesex, England, where I studied music. I am a classically trained singer and a modest pianist. After my marriage and the birth of two children, my career as a singer was put on the back burner where it remains.
In 1982 I emigrated to Perth, Western Australia, where I brought up my family and taught the piano.I then trained to become a psychotherapist at The Churchill Clinic in Perth, Western Australia, where I had my own private practice.
I am particularly concerned and disillusioned about the negative predicament of the mental health system in Australia. I am committed to informing the community about the benefits of psychotherapy.
I support a green environment and the democratic rights of all people and the empowerment of all women. Yes I am a feminist and proud of it.
I am also a great lover of animals. Up until recently I had a faithful doggie companion who was my best friend for 13 years. I miss her greatly.
I love to read and cook.
I live a simple and healthy life.
I have always had a love of writing which I am currently pursuing. Most days I can be found wandering around the parks and open spaces of Perth Western Australia.
